Tracking Release Record Status

Status Field
The Status field on the Release Detail page can be set to track the status of a Release Record throughout its lifecycle. After status is set to Closed, the Reason field can be set to show whether the Release was closed because it failed or because it was successful.
To set the status of a Release Record:
- Open the Detail page for the Release for which you want to change the status.
- Click Edit. The Release Edit page opens.
- Set the Status field by selecting a value from the pull-down menu.
- If you set Status to Closed, select a value from the Reason pull-down menu.
- Click Save. The Release Detail page opens. Status displays its new value.
Release Task Progress
If the new GUI is enabled for the change view page, a progress bar will appear at the top of the tasks block in the lower right of the page showing the total progress of the Release tasks.
This number is calculated from a formula that totals the number of Release tasks and Change tasks related to that Release that are of status "Completed" divided by the total number of these tasks.
